Review: Snatch that Cat book

Snatch that Cat centres around Susie Bipp, a spoiled rich girl who sets her sights on a neighbour's cat. Without spoiling the story, I'll just say she learns a valuable life lesson while making a number of hair-raising attempts to 'cat-nap' him. Larry Buttram wrote the book after his toddler niece invented a game called 'Snatch that Cat' & it's aimed at children about 3-8 years old. The story is written more or less in rhyming couplets with an irregular rhythm & it's been colourfully illustrated in a cartoony style by Paul Richardson.

I like having a few ebooks on my phone because I never have to carry a potentially heavy library book around & I can read wherever I go. I love the idea of ebooks like Snatch that Cat & I plan to add a few to my ereader for Sprout when he's a little older so that he can read anytime, anywhere too. Though he loves reading, for the moment he's a little young for ebooks, as he just tends to swipe at or whack my phone when he gets a hold of it.

Snatch that Cat is available as an ebook for $6 on Amazon & Barnes & Noble or in hardcopy from the publisher, New Virginia Publications for $20.
