Happy Hallowe'en: Free Yogurt Downtown

Hallowe'en is tomorrow & to celebrate, Hain-Celestial Canada, a leading natural and organic food company, will give away over 4,000 tubs of The Greek Gods™ yogurt in the downtown core on October 31 between 7:30-10am.

Curious Vancouverites can stop by either of the following locations on their way to work:
  • Burrard Skytrain Station on Burrard Street
  • The corner of Robson Street and Howe Street
If you can't make it downtown for the giveaway, Heather McTavish, vice president of marketing for Hain-Celestial Canada, has some ideas for how to add a healthy twist to Halloween party treats. I think I'm going to try all three this week!

A festive smoothie
Smoothies are a great way to start the morning. Instead of the traditional fruit smoothie, consider making a pumpkin smoothie using canned pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. To make the smoothie extra creamy try adding Greek Gods, Vanilla Honey yogurt.

Veggie Skeleton
Fun shapes are always a great way to get kids’ attention. Luckily, veggies come in many shapes and sizes so they make the perfect building blocks for the bones of a skeleton. Kids won’t be able to resist eating “bones” for a snack!

Get Seedy
After carving your Halloween pumpkin, be sure to keep the seeds! Seeds can be roasted in a hot oven with a little salt and olive oil. Pack in your child’s lunch box for a fun Halloween treat.
