List #25: 10 things I've always wanted to do but never actually have

Stole this idea from Alexis at Wave the Stick. Not all of them are things I've wanted to do since I was little, but for a long time anyway.

NYC, where else? Photo by Kaysha, via Flickr.
10 things I've always wanted to do but never actually have:
  1. Write & illustrate a children's book (I did create one all about slugs in printmaking class at Emily Carr way back when, but it was only six plates, including the cover, in an edition of five, so I won't count it)
  2. Go hiking with Sprout (it's kind of ridiculous that he's nearly two & we haven't done this)
  3. Live in Europe for at least six months. Maybe Berlin.
  4. Visit New York City.
  5. Build my own tiny house (well, vacation home, really--not convinced I could live in one)
  6. Paint a mural in my home (I've painted murals at my housing co-op, for friends, relatives & youth groups, but never one for myself)
  7. Visit Montreal.
  8.  Learn to spin poi (I even bought some rainbow practice poi in London last time we were there, but haven't really played with them much)
  9. Go horseback riding
  10. Do a bike tour of at least a few hundred kilometres.

Why Monday lists? Reading the lovely Chloe's blog, Tea Swamp Park, I found an idea I had to 'steal': a list of all her Halloween costumes, with quite a few photos. She got the idea from Hula Seventy's List Project. I've decided to do the weekly lists for a year that Hula Seventy is doing.
