Review: Mamalicious Dietary Supplement

Earlier this year, I got a couple of samples of Mamalicious Vivacious Vanilla Dietary Supplement to try out. I won't list off my excuses, but it took me a few months to get around to trying the stuff. Once I finally did, I realized how great this supplement could be for a lot of women! It's a powder that you put into your smoothie, juice or hot drink (I added a packed to a heaping tablespoon of cocoa powder, hot water & a little milk & it was delicious!)

Mamalicious comes in Vanilla flavour (naturally flavoured) & comes in at 90 calories for a full 37g. It's ideal for pregnant women because it's fortified with vitamins & minerals including 4000IU of Vitamin D, 800mcg of Folic Acid, 1000mg of Calcium & 250mg of Magnesium (these two are helpful for combatting leg cramps), plus 10g of organic brown rice protein to help stabilize blood sugar (essential for avoiding nausea in your first trimester), 9g dietary fibre to help keep things moving & even probiotics. Mamalicious would be an easy way to get vitamins if you have issues swallowing pills. It's also quite convenient to toss in purse or stash at work & add to drinks there.

Mamalicious is made by Bliss Nutritional Sciences—a company dedicated to the research & development of cutting edge, nutritional products based on the emerging science of epigenetics & nutrigenomics. Mamalicious is the company's flagship product line & a novel nutritional supplement specifically formulated for women of childbearing years. The product & company were created by clinical pharmacist Dr. Sharon Roddan & her daughter, Aimee Rickabus, in direct response to the market need for superior pre- & post-natal supplements and premium functional foods for women. Dr, Roddan was born with Spina Bifida, thought to be caused by a lack of adequate folic acid (a B vitamin) in her mother’s diet. As I'm sure you know, healthy diets with adequate folate may reduce a woman’s risk of having a child with a brain or spinal cord defect.

“I used to make Mamalicious just for myself, but so many other moms asked me to make it for them that I decided to make it for all women…pre-pregnant, pregnant, breastfeeding, & those who just want more energy,” says Aimee Rickabus, co-founder of Bliss Nutritional Sciences. “Since my own mom is a pharmacist, she worked with me to create a very delicious, very easy to use, nutritional beverage. Mamalicious is an simple way to make moms happier & babies healthier.”

Mamalicious is available for purchase online at Mymamalicious.com
