Spokespapa Does Movember

Spokespapa does Movember: Day One.
If you've noticed in the photos posted on this blog or you know him in person, Spokespapa is one hirsute dude. He's one of those guys who shreds turtlenecks with his neck stubble & gets five o'clock shadow by lunchtime.

So when it comes to growing a moustache, he's got it covered. He actually had to shave off what our friend Dan calls "a magnificent beard" before starting the moustache for Movember.

If you're wondering why I misspelled November with an M, and have somehow missed the last few years' campaigns, Movember is a worldwide fundraising campaign that aims to forever change the face of men's health through the power of the moustache.

Movember raises awareness and funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s mental health initiatives, the money being directed to programs run directly by the Movember Foundation and its men’s health partners in each country. Movember funds support a broad range of innovative, world-class programs including living with and beyond cancer, staying mentally healthy, living with and beyond mental illness and men’s health research. Since 2003, 3 million participants have raised over $446 M for the cause, with official Movember campaigns taking place in 21 countries.

For more information please visit Movember.com or @MovemberCA on Twitter. Movember is a registered charity in Canada - BN  848215604 RR0001.

Spokespapa will be posting about his Movember experience here on Spokesmama, including occasional photos of the upper lip topiary. If you want to keep up with his 'stache on a more regular basis, follow Spokesmama on Instagram. & last but not least: here is the link to Spokespapa's Mo Space, where you can donate money to the cause.
