Spokesmama: A World of Summer Camp Options at the Kids Camp Expo

Some of my fondest memories are from the daycamp that I attended when I was a kid. I'd love for my kids to make great memories like those too. I know there are a lot of options out there, so I was excited to hear that I can do a lot of my research in one place: British Columbia's only Kids Camp Expo is happening Sunday, March 2nd at Heritage Hall in Vancouver from 11am-4pm.

Organizer Pratpal Gill started the first expo in June 2013 as an extension of her work at The Empowerment Playground, bridging the gap between parents' desire for information, and camp directors needing an opportunity to showcase their programs.

Types of camps and programs featured at Kids Camp Expo include sports, education, empowerment & leadership, arts, outdoors, & special needs. Camps are for children in preschool up to 18 years old.

Speakers at the 2014 Expo include Sydney Badger, Personal Chef, Yoga Instructor & Outdoor Educator, as well as Helen Kelesi (AKA "Hurricane Helen"), formerly ranked the #13 Top Women's Tennis Player in the world.
