Exercise Challenge: Month 5, Week 3

Oh, hai!
Sunday we needed to relax & recover a bit from the madness that was Sprout's second birthday party. Nearly no exercise to be had that day.

Monday I biked to MEC for a helmet & ended up looking in pretty much every bike shop around there to find one that fit my head. 15 minutes of exercise.

Tuesday I walked Sprout over to 49th Parallel to meet a friend for a breakfast of gourmet doughnuts. 24 minutes round trip. That evening we biked to Stanley Park to see 'Monty Python's Holy Grail' & back, via the (crowded) seawall route. 18 km of cycling took about 70 minutes for the round trip.

Wednesday I biked Sprout up to Gray's Park to play in the wading pool. 20 minutes of cycling. Later on we biked down to Gastown to participate in Pit for Your Supper at the Irish Heather. Round trip was about 35 minutes of cycling.

"I am King Arthur of Camelot."
Thursday I biked downtown for massage therapy & chiro. Round trip was 35 minutes of cycling with my faster route over the Cambie Bridge.

Friday we headed to Grandview Park for a playdate. The round trip involved 20 minutes cycling & 10 minutes walking. We also biked up to Prince Edward Park for a takeout dinner picnic, but it's less than five minutes each way, so I won't count it.

Saturday we'd registered for a walking tour of the St. George Rainway, which was too leisurely a pace to count for exercise.

Weekly total exercise: 229 minutes. Over the goal by nearly 20 minutes! Yay!
