BC Home & Garden Show Giveaway

You may have heard me moaning about the state of my 1946 bungalow before, but if not, let me tell you it's in dire need of renovations. Our kitchen was expanded into an addition in about 1959 (we think) & the bathroom was straight out of 1981 until we replaced the mirrors, sink & vanity. I won't get into what I hate about the rest of the place, because it's a long list.

Redoing our kitchen is definitely on my radar this year, so I was pretty excited to get the chance to go to the BC Home + Garden Show for free. I'll be looking for inspiration on what to do with our barely functional kitchen.

I know you're thrilled that I got free tickets, but... what's in it for you? I've got another set of FOUR tickets to give away to one of you! Before I get into the details of the contest, let me give you a taste of what's going on at the BC Home + Garden Show.
The BC Home + Garden Show is five days of insight & inspiration for making every house a home, featuring HGTV stars like Bryan Baeumler of Leave It To Bryan, Paul Lafrance from Decked Out & Vancouver’s own Philip DuMoulin & Sarah Daniels of Urban Suburban, 425 retailers and a full line-up of new features, all under one roof.

If you're free on Thursday, February 21 from 12-5pm, don't miss Family Day presented by
Dominion Lending Centres. Family-friendly fare is the focus at the BC Home + Garden Show’s first annual Family Day. faceaballoonza! & VancouverMom.ca will be on-hand to offer up face painting and easy art projects, while moms & dads alike can glean ideas for everything from cooking & gardening with the kiddies to family-friendly design & the latest children’s fashion trends. Scheduled presentations include:
HGTV Main Stage
• Spring Fun 4 Kids Fashion Show, presented by Park Royal
• Interior decorator Christine Friend, Family Friendly Design
• Sewing expert Denise Wild, Decorating with Fabric: Family Edition
Home Cooking Stage
• Chef Ned Bell (& son Max), Cooking Fun with Your Little Ones
• Growing Chefs, Healthy Kids in the Kitchen
• The World in a Garden, Eat More Kale!
Vancouver Sun Gardeners School
• Gardening expert Steve Whysall, Gardening for Kids

This year's BC Home + Garden Show features opening night beer tastings for women only on Wednesday, February 20, 4pm – 9pm; HGTV’s Deck Wars live on Saturday, February 23 at 4 pm; Beers & bites Lounge where you can sample a cold brew (or two) specially selected by Just Here for the Beer and street-food fare like bacon-wrapped hot dogs & real Canadian poutine; not to mention more than 7,000 square feet of gardening inspiration. There's so much great stuff to do, see, learn & eat that I really can't fit it all into one blog post. You'll have to head over to their website for the schedule & more information about everything that's going on.
Okay, now that I've told you a little more about the show, here's how you can win FOUR tickets (that's worth $60) to see it for free. The only catch is that you have to be here in Vancouver during the show to collect your prize. You can 'earn' multiple entries by doing the following in the Rafflecopter widget below
    1. leave a comment on the blog here about why you want to go to the BC Home + Garden Show
    2. tweet about this contest (you can do this DAILY for extra entries!)
    3. share the contest on Facebook (you can do this DAILY for extra entries!)
Don't forget to tell Rafflecopter that you've done the above option(s) after you post/tweet/share so that it'll be counted & valid for when the random number generator does its work. :) Also--if you have any issues, please let me know! I'll close the contest on February 12 at 9pm & notify the winner by email. If s/he doesn't respond within 48 hours, I'll have to choose another one. Good luck everyone!
